Hi,
I am working on a platform for my company and there are a lot of symmetric holes for the legs. I have been using smart fasteners for the handrails and platform connections but now when I try and use it for the legs it is trying to put a fastener across the entire platform to the other side even though there's no fastener long enough.
When selecting the faces I want for smart fasteners it won't let me select the opposite leg mounting plate from one I have already selected (I guess because it already thinks it's going to be going through those holes anyways) and I'm not sure why it's doing this even when the holes are made separately per face on the platform itself.
I have selected the plate by number 1 first and it won't let me select the plate by number 2 - the holes are all aligned with each other as the legs are identical.
This is what it does if I try and go forward with the smart fasteners anyways
And here is the other side of the platform when I try and add washers and nuts
Anyone know why it does this and how I could fix it?
I asked a similar question 3 years ago and found it while looking for answers but it didn't have a proper answer that helped so I deleted the question.
