Sketch disappears when trying to create a reference plane

In my model, I have created a sketch line that I would like to use to create a plane. I can see the sketch, modify the sketch and all seems well. However, when I select Reference Geometry>Plane, the sketch line that I would like to use as the reference disappears.

Of course, I have tried the obvious troubleshooting steps, Rebuild, shutdown and restart SW, even reboot the computer, but the problem persists. In the same model, creating planes from sketch line has worked elsewhere, but then this problem appears, and won't go away.

I have attached a link to another post with a similar problem. But the solution doesn't seem relevant to me.

I have tried creating another sketch, and trying again, but they just disappear.

Update - Solved.

I clicked the "Eyeball" and selected Show All Types. Sketch lines stayed on, and I was able to create the plane.
