Hi, I tried SolidWorks on a M5 Pro Mac via the trial version of Parallels Desktop for Mac. It performs very well. No issue at all. However, it costs money and I need to upgrade the software annually. Tried VMWare Fusion but SolidWorks performs extremely poorly. For example, selecting a plane caused a line to be drawn very slowly like described in the following thread. Can't even get through this stage. There is no such issue when using SolidWorks with Parallels. What is wrong with VMWare Fusion? Anybody has success in getting it to work?
