ello,
I would like to know how to select a specific configuration of a SOLIDWORKS part or assembly when inserting it into a Virtual SOLIDWORKS Assembly Document (.sldasm.cvd).
When I paste a SOLIDWORKS part (.sldprt) or assembly (.sldasm) as a reference, it seems to always use the default configuration. I can edit the quantity, but I cannot find a way to select a different configuration, either during the paste operation or later from within the virtual assembly document.
Is there a supported way to:
- insert a
.sldprtor.sldasmas a reference into a.sldasm.cvdfile, - choose which configuration should be used,
- and later modify that referenced configuration from inside the virtual assembly document?
If this is not currently supported, I would also like to suggest it as an enhancement request, because it would be very useful to be able to choose and manage the referenced configuration instead of always using only the default one.
Thank you.
