Hi everyone,
I’m currently working in SolidWorks 2023 and I’m trying to use a Table to manage multiple configurations in part files. In previous versions, SolidWorks was able to automatically generate or update a configuration table when new configurations were added.
In SW2023, this behavior seems to be missing.
Here’s the issue:
- When I create a new configuration, no configuration Table is created automatically.
- I don’t want to use Excel-based tables. I want an embedded configuration table.
- I also need the table to list all parameters that vary between configurations (dimensions and suppression states), as it did in earlier versions.
So my questions are:
- Has the “automatic configuration table” feature been removed or relocated in SolidWorks 2023?
- Is there a setting or workflow I’m missing that would allow SolidWorks to auto-populate the embedded table when configurations are added?
- If the feature was removed, is there any recommended workaround that doesn’t involve Excel or custom macros?
Thanks in advance for any insights. I’d like to understand whether this is a change in the software or a configuration issue on my sideConfigurations/design TablesGeneral2023auto
