I have an enquiry on the SOLIDWORKS premium license under the Startups programme.

I have a reseller called Next cube IO that is selling me this package and the legal documents within dessault systems mentions that I cannot act as a consultant nor a freelancer.

The reseller said that there will be no issues and that they got special approval from dessult systems that I'm able to use the software for freelancing due to the fact that I'm awaiting for my cousin's drones business to start up. (Basically I'm able to make income whilst waiting for my cousin's business to start)

I'm a little concerned on the fact that I'm not able to get written authorisation by dessault systems that I'm able to act as a freelancer. The only written authorisation I have is by the reseller stating on email:

"As discussed, even if you are doing freelancing, there are no issues regarding license usage.

We have received special approval from Dassault Systèmes, with the hope that your cousin’s business will get off the ground. At the same time, we fully understand that you need to generate income in the meantime, so there are no restrictions on that side. If your cousin's business does not come to fruition, you are still able to use the license as you please no issues there!

I have cc-ed my manager as well who can confirm the following

You are therefore free to use the license as needed."

Can I proceed with this legally or should I be concerned? Please let me know if anyone has gone through the same situation or if dessault systems can help me.. I'm finding it hard to contact them🙏🏻🙌🏻
