Hi everyone,
I’m seeing an issue when exporting/printing a SOLIDWORKS drawing from eDrawings to PDF. Some dimension arrowheads appear to cross or pass through the extension lines in the PDF output.
I tested the same drawing with multiple PDF printers:
- Microsoft Print to PDF
- PDF24
- CutePDF
All of them produced the same issue from eDrawings. I also tried changing drawing settings such as arrowhead style/size, extension-line gap, break gap around arrows, line thickness, and annotation settings, but the issue still remained.
However, when I export the same drawing directly from SOLIDWORKS using Save As PDF, the PDF is clean. Also, when I export the eDrawing as PNG, the arrowheads look correct.
So it seems specific to the eDrawings vector/PDF print/export path, not the drawing itself or the PDF printer.
Has anyone faced this before? Is there any setting or workaround in eDrawings to fix this and get a clean vector PDF output?
Thanks in advance
