Easier way to maintain min/max surface area while extending sketch lines?

Hello everyone,

I am working with a patterned sketch (similar to a hex / lattice structure). When I extend or move or change certain sketch lines, I need to redraw the affected regions while maintaining a minimum surface opening area of 21 mm² and a maximum of 75 mm² for each cell.

Doing this manually in sketches is very difficult and time‑consuming, especially when the geometry changes (example highlighted in yellow in the image).

I would like to ask:

  • Is there a way in SolidWorks to control or constrain sketch regions by area?
  • Are there any tools, design tables, equations, or workflows to update the sketch automatically when a line is extended?
  • Would this be better handled using parametric dimensions, sketch equations, boundary surfaces, or pattern features rather than manual sketching?

Any advice or example workflows would be really helpful.

Thank you!
