Struggling a bit with self-learning;
- Click File > Make Drawing from Part
.
- In the Sheet Format/Size dialog box:
- Clear Only show standard formats to see all format options.
- Select A (ANSI) Landscape.
- Click OK.
SOLIDWORKS creates a drawing using the A (ANSI) Landscape sheet format.
This is the dialog I get, I don’t see a drawing sheet. But….
- Click Tools > Options > Document Properties > Detailing.
As soon as I touch Tools/Options, the screen behind the toolbar will change to be the drawing sheet.
- Under Auto insert on view creation, clear Center marks-holes -part and click OK.
You manually add center marks later on.
This is now the entirety of my screen:
- On the View Palette
tab of the Task Pane:
- Clear Auto-start projected view.
- Drag the Top view into the drawing area. This is where the big trouble starts, I can’t find out from where I should drag the Top view. The screen had at step 2 that looks like what I can drag from is AWOL.
So, looking for help on what happened at step 2 where the drawing didn’t show up and how to show the screen from which I can drag the Top view into the drawing.
Thank you.
