I’m modelling a number of components that use 50 mm black-and-yellow chevron safety tape. I’d like to represent it in SolidWorks using a single part number, but with different configurations — for example, where the tape wraps around a 90-degree bend or is cut to different lengths.

My goal is to avoid creating multiple part files for the same part number while still being able to show the tape graphically wrapped around the edges of sheet-metal parts, so the factory knows exactly how to apply it and in what orientation. I also need to display the tape in the flat pattern so the purchasing team can clearly identify which version it is.

What would be the best approach to achieve this in SolidWorks? Any recommendations or examples of how others handle similar situations would be appreciated.
