Hello,
We are migrating some design files for bent and cut tubes. They were originally machine translated from a different modeling package, but that appears to not be what's causing the issue. I only mention this because it means that there are a large number of extant files made this way.
The parts that have this issue are all varying lengths of cylindrical hollow tube with a coping cut at one or both ends where they will meet other tubes (with an offset so that there is a flat spot on the top and bottom of the tube end. The coping cut is a circle with the same diameter as the tube. When I make a drawing for these files if I try to create a center mark it gets created at the end of the tube, not the center of the circular cut. Similarly, if I attempt to make a dimension between two coped ends (two circles) it will appear to be correct after I select both circles, but when I click to place the dimension text one or both of the handles will snap to the tube end and give the length based on that location. See the screenshot
If the diameter of the cut is anything other than the same as the tube the center marks and the dimension handles will be placed correctly. I can get around it by changing one of those dimensions where it doesn't affect the overall model, but it may become confusing, and the bigger problem is that I have hundreds of similar parts to clean up, so any such change is going to add up to quite a lot of extra work.
I assume this is a bug, but I would love to know if anyone else has experienced it/is it a known problem. Thanks!
