Drafsight 2020 files won t import into VCarve where as files previously created in the free version will

I upgraded from the free Draftsight standard version SW to the 2020 Standard version. I have been using the free version of Draftsight since 2016 without a problem, importing files into Vetrics' VCarve SW that I use on my NextWave CNC machine. I can't import the .dwg files created on the 2020 Standard version but can still import those created on the free version.

What can I do to resolve this problem?
