1. Shift Definition and Reporting Issue
I have defined three shifts in a single day, where the total simulation time runs from 0 seconds to 23:59:59 seconds.
- Shift 1: 0 sec to 8 hours
- Shift 2: 8 hours to 16 hours
- Shift 3: 16 hours to 24 hours (23:59:59)
- During all shifts, I have defined a break in the middle, with break behavior = Pause.
- Shift end behavior is set to Continue until the operation ends, and this setting is the same for all three shifts.
Problem Facing
- When I run the simulation only for Shift 1 (0 sec to 8 hr) and open the Shift Report under System Performance Indicators, the Throughput and Utilization values are showing 0 for the entire report.
If I continue the simulation beyond 8 hours (partially), then Shift 1 report shows no utilization data, and other shift reports show partial values.

- Even after changing Shift End Behavior, the issue remains the same.
- When I run the simulation for 24 hours, the report is generated; however, the 2nd shift Utilization is showing more than 100%
My Requirement
🔹 I want to simulate each shift (every 8 hours) and get accurate shift-wise performance reports (Throughput, Machine Utilization, Manpower Utilization, etc.).
🔹 I want to know how to correctly define three shifts so that shift-wise reports are generated properly.
🔹 Similarly, how to define two shifts per day to get correct individual shift-wise data.
2. Material Weight Reporting Issue
- I have assigned the material weight in grams for both input and output products in the machine.
- Until now, it was working properly during simulation.
- But when I generate the material weight report, the weight values are shown in tons.
- Upon checking the system history, I found that there are two different units for weight.
