is there a way to create a manufacturing item for multiple engineering items at once?

Use case:

I’d like to create a Manufactured Material for multiple 3D Parts at once. However, the command is only available if only one is selected. Drag & drop action into MBOM structure only creates Provided Parts. It doesn’t allow me to specify the item type.

Is there a way to do this?
