This week, I created a 3D model for a wall-mounted case for a Netgear Nighthawk router.
The design allows the router to be securely fixed to a wall while keeping the power cable and ventilation unobstructed.
The original mount costs €50, which is way too expensive and isn't ventilated. So my first pitch with a 3D printer
It’s a simple prototype, but the main goal is to test the full workflow with the DS Munich FabLab — from CAD design to print and final fitting.
AND what should I say... WOW!! it was printed in race mode under 50mins and the cost calc from the Bambu Software was ~1€.
I love it and it was really simple workflow + the router fits perfect. Better as expected!!
Thanks to the FABLab Team in Munich for your support.
