Lattice Design in Catia: A Breakthrough in Material Efficiency

This project aims to revolutionize material efficiency and manufacturing precision through innovative design techniques like Catia's lattice design. By reducing material consumption while maintaining structural integrity, we showcase the potential of additive manufacturing.

Design Method: 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA - Lattice Design
Lattice Pattern: Crown
Cell Length: 16 mm
Structure Radius: 0.5 mm
Material Saved: A material savings of 98.63% was achieved, thanks to the lattice design.
Printing Technology: Phrozen Sonic Mega 8K Resin printer
Resin Type: Speed resin
Printing Time: Completed in 5.30 hours

Additional Features (Stand Design): A custom-designed stand accompanies the lattice structure, crafted from acrylic cut with precision using a laser cutter machine. The corners were skillfully bent using a heat gun, ensuring stability and aesthetics.

In CATIA´s Lattice Design interface, users can adjust lattice parameters such as pattern type, cell length, and structure radius. These settings are found under "Lattice Conceptual Design".
The software also showcases material savings facilitated by the lattice design, visible under "Concept Information". In our case it is 98,63%
