On Sep 24, we launched a new GEOVIA Tutorials: Stope Shape Optimizer, where our GEOVIA Support team members touch base on our users' most frequently asked questions. In this series, our GEOVIA User Success Specialist, @Cory CASE addressed GEOVIA Stope Optimizer, from basics to advanced setups, and a full workflow linking optimized stopes into scheduling with GEOVIA MineSched. |
We'd like to thank everyone who attended. And for those of you who missed the event, below is the replay of part 1 & 2.
Part 1: Introduction to the Stope Optimizer
Follow along in this first part of three webinars as we walk through a basic example project in the GEOVIA Surpac Stope Optimizer utility, turning a block model into optimized stopes ready for future mine design and scheduling. The various inputs will be explained as we go and advice provided for how to approach stope creation for the first time using general inputs. |
Part 2: Advanced Stope Optimizer
|
| The Stope Optimizer contains many options catering to a wide variety of geology configurations. Building on the introductory webinar we will go through some more advanced setups and how to adjust the parameters to accommodate. The focus will be on constraining inputs, shaping the outputs, recoding the stopes from the block model following manual changes, and how to run the Stope Optimizer iteratively. |
Part 3: Complete Stope Workflow | Nov. 26 - 11:30 PM UTC
In parts one and two the stope optimizer itself was covered, but how to get to that point and what to do next? In this culmination of the mini series, part of the GEOVIA CONNECT 25X Rethink What's Possible in Mine Planning & Design series, we will show how to prepare the model and geological requirements for running the Stope Optimizer, how to prepare and export the stopes for use in a scheduling program, and finally how to import those stopes into GEOVIA MineSched for scheduling.
