I need your help please,
I have encountered some difficulties with the Factory Flow Simulation. Below is the list of issues encountered:
- ISSUE n°1 (higher priority)
I would need a routine set of activities to be performed by an operator on various workstations (possibly defined as NC Machines). The image shows the various steps with the various simulation assumptions.
I hope I've been as clear as possible
- Step 1: The operator removes the product to be tested from the first NC machine.
- Step 2: The operator loads the product onto the vibration system.
- Step 3: The operator goes to the control bench and sets the test configuration (generic activity).
- Step 4: The operator goes to the test equipment and constantly monitors the test operation throughout. A specific rejection rate will also be defined.
Step 5: Once the test is complete, the operator goes to the vibration system, unloads the product, and takes it to the next workstation.
The goal is to create a digital twin of real behavior: the operator must perform these steps (even if they are fictitious)
- ISSUE n°2 (lower priority)
I've defined two shifts for my production line.
The problem is that my utilization rate is staggered, as it also takes into account holidays and factory downtime. For example: I have a machine utilization rate of 20% because I work two shifts without Saturdays and Sundays. In reality, the workstation is 100% utilized during my shifts.
- ISSUE n°3 (lower priority)
- In my Case Study, when I set shifts and i don't work 24/7, production stops at a certain point, even though I still have WIP in the system.
- So, Operators will be in Idle state, without completing the available activities
