I am trying to model a factory flow scenario, but I am having trouble making it behave as intended. Below, I explain the scenario step by step. I would appreciate any guidance on how to implement this correctly.
First, I created a product flow from the output of Operation X on the 5 ft table to the conveyor. I also created a product flow from the In Zone 2 to the same conveyor.
Next, I added a Decision Zone on the conveyor. According to the process plan, the outputs of Operation X and the Board must be combined through assembly operation. Therefore, I defined Operation Y and Operation Z within the Decision Zone.
I would like to connect the output of Operation Z to the Out Zone using a product flow. My goal is that the transfer activity created by this flow produces the Operation Z output.
In summary, at any time during the conveyor flow, I want an assembly process to occur according to the following logic :
Operation X output
Board (input for Operation Y) → Operation Y output
Operation X output + Operation Y output → Operation Z input
Operation Z input → Operation Z output → Output Zone
I have tried various scenarios, both with and without using a transfer activity, but I have not been able to achieve the desired behavior.
