Designing an Autonomous Underwater Robot

I’m excited to share my latest final year project: the design and simulation of an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) dedicated to environmental data collection (like salinity and temperature) in aquaculture fish cages. 📊🐟

As a mechanical engineering student and SOLIDWORKS enthusiast, I engineered this robot to handle complex underwater environments. The entire design and modular chassis were developed using SOLIDWORKS, optimizing both buoyancy and structural integrity.

Here is a quick breakdown of the project:

Mission: Explore and monitor water quality parameters in fish farms to ensure sustainable aquaculture.

CAD Work: Full 3D modeling of the hull, thrusters layout, and internal component integration.

Next Steps: Finalizing CFD/fluid simulations and preparing for the rendering phase!

I would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any advice on underwater sealing and simulation within the 3DEXPERIENCE ecosystem!
