Bought the student edition but was never asked for my school details, now denied access to all "academia" platform servers...

I am being recruited from a technical school in Japan by a company that uses CATIA, so I bought 3DEXPERIENCE Engineer for Students through the website, paid, and received my getting started email. 

However the link in the email lands on a page: (https://oi000507790-apt2-academia-ifwe.3dexperience.3ds.com/) that says I do not have access. 

I already have an active Solidworks Makers (Web Apps) license. Actually I have 3, but that is a long stupid story. 

I had logged in to 3DExp with my existing account when I purchased Engineer/Student. 

I was never prompted to enter my school information. 

Has anyone else experienced something like this or have an idea how to fix it? I have already submitted a support form request.
